10.  I check Trackers every morning.  Please review your child's assignment book each evening and sign it to be aware of your child's behavior and homework for the day.

9.  Homework is your child’s job.  He/she gets “paid” with grades, rewarded with playing Homeworkopoly and awarded the power of becoming super smart!  Expect homework daily.

8.  Visit our class website (MrsKaser.com) every week to be the first to
know of upcoming events, reminders and changes in our schedule.  Our website is your newsletter!

7.  You are encouraged to check Progressbook (online gradebook) weekly to be aware of your child’s academic progress.  Do not wait until the end of the grading period to check your child's grades.

6.  Spelling tests are given when the skills are completed.
They are not necessarily every Friday.

5.  Typically, we spend one week on each story, depending on the skills taught.  Check Trackers for end-of-the-unit tests or quizzes.
This changes when we read chapter books.

4.  The mail side of your child’s Take Home Folder should be cleaned out every night.  Go over graded papers with your child.

3.  Students should place homework on the homework side of his/her Take Home Folder every night.

2.  Your child should practice applicable math facts every night (dependent upon the facts we are learning).

1.  Reading is a third grader's top priority.  Set expectations for your child to read nightly.
